Passport Wine Series | Restoration at Old Trail | Feb 27th | 7-9 PM | $60/guest | Join Restoration on a vino voyage around the world. Throughout 4 events, you will be tasting 16 wines from 7 countries and enjoying hors d'oeuvres paired with each vintage. You'll receive a passport book, with the chance to win a prize for completing the journey. The Breakthru Beverage team has partnered with Restoration to bring you these four wine events. Mint Springs Land Navigation Race | Mint Springs Park | March 1st | 10 AM - 2 PM | This unique adventure race is FREE and open to the public. Teams will navigate to as many control points as possible in 3 hours while tracking their progress on a punch card. Participants are asked to give back to the community by donating to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. See story below for more information.

New Club Pilates Franchise Opens in Crozet - A new Club Pilates franchise has opened in Crozet at 1160 Old Trail Drive, conveniently located near Wendall House in Old Trail. The studio held its soft opening on February 6th and is now fully operational, offering classes Monday through Sunday from 6 AM to 8 PM.

Pilates is a low-impact fitness method focused on strengthening the core, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body awareness. It combines controlled movements with proper breathing techniques to promote balance, posture, and muscle tone. Suitable for all fitness levels, Pilates is an excellent way to build strength and mindfulness in a supportive environment.

Virginia’s 4 PM Burning Law Now in Effect - Virginia’s 4 PM Burning Law is active from February 15 to April 30, restricting open-air burning before 4:00 PM if within 300 feet of woods or dry grass. Burning is allowed from 4:00 PM - Midnight, but fires must be attended and safety precautions followed.

The law helps prevent wildfires, which are more common in late winter and early spring due to dry vegetation, low humidity, and high winds. Violations can result in fines up to $500.

Exemptions include charcoal and gas grills, fires more than 300 feet from flammable vegetation, and certain agricultural practices.
