Swannanoa Golf Course Tees Up for a Comeback - For the first time in nearly 50 years, the Swannanoa Golf Course on Afton Mountain didn’t open last summer, leaving a void for local golfers that didn’t take their score too seriously. Now, there’s hope on the horizon. The historic mountaintop course, recently purchased by a new owner, is poised to reclaim its former glory.
While the feasibility of reopening as a public golf course is still under study, the focus on preserving the land, rather than developing it, has sparked optimism among the community.
With updates expected in the coming year, many are eager to see the greens come alive again. For now we are all waiting to welcome back a beloved course.
