Our Town
Early Harvest - Local wineries like King Family are diving into an early harvest, with winemakers noting that dry conditions and Tropical Storm Debby have led to a unique season. Despite the grueling hours, winemakers are optimistic about the quality of this year's yield.
Swannanoa Uncertain Future - While a buyer seems to have emerged for the now-closed Swannanoa Golf Course, the future of the site, including the course, the defunct hotel, and the Italian mansion, remains uncertain. Significant investment will be required to restore or repurpose these iconic properties. The challenging greens of Swannanoa are missed by many, a stark contrast to the easier two-putts on Old Trail's pristinely manicured surfaces.

Join The Crozet Volunteer Fire Department - Benjamin Franklin founded the first volunteer fire company in Philadelphia in 1736, known as the Union Fire Company or "Bucket Brigade." This company set the foundation for the tradition of volunteer firefighting in America, which continues to be a vital part of community service today.
Continuing this proud tradition, the Crozet Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an interest meeting on Tuesday, September 10th, at 7:30 PM at their station. Learn how you can become a volunteer firefighter or auxiliary member, and discover what it means to be part of this essential community service. The session will cover the joining process, training, and the benefits of being on the CVFD team. Come see how you can make a difference!
Crozet United is here not only to keep you informed, but it is also your platform to celebrate Crozet and the people in it.
Share your good news—like team victories, community cleanups, or any positive updates—with us. Small or big we want to share the good things happening around town.
