Montclair The Board of Supervisors approved the Montclair rezoning despite the written opposition of nearly 1,000 online petitioners, as well as many letters and public speeches. Approximately 75 people attended the meeting in person. The petition remains open so that next steps can be communicated to interested residents.
Swannanoah for Sale The beloved Swannanoah Golf Course and surrounding 236 acres could be yours for a mere $3,500,000. Spread the word to save the community treasure some call “The Augusta of the Blue Ridge” at the top of Afton mountain.
New Restaurant Jax’s Bar & Grill is planning to open as early as March 10th in the old Jalisco location across from Harris Teeter. The menu will focus on fresh, never frozen, homemade hamburgers, fries and things of that sort.
Black Bear Cubs Rescued The Wildlife Center of Virginia, just over the mountain rescued three black bear cubs and is nursing them back to health. Follow their progress at the link above and consider donating or volunteering for this wonderful organization.

Basketball
The Boys (20-5) orchestrated a total team effort, dealing Spotswood their first defeat of the season while capturing the Region title.
The Girls (17-8) closed out their impressive season with a tough loss to Liberty Christian in a region tourney tilt.
Congratulations to the WAHS Basketball team on winning their regional championship!
Crozet United Warrior of the Week In the spirit of If you build it, they will come, the WAHS Mountain Biking team, after a year+ of arduous hands-on teamwork, is ready to host competitions on the 3.5+ mile course in the woods surrounding the school. The trail is ready for action, with the first home race scheduled for the 4th of May.
