Our Town

Off To A Good Start! Mick Armstrong and Auggie Watson each hit a homerun for the Crozet Summit 8U Baseball team as it went on to win the Mound Madness Tournament in Richmond on Sunday, 3/17. Crozet Summit is undefeated for the season (6-0) will travel to Richmond to play again in April.

Get Growing! Gardeners of all ages are invited to take part in this year’s Albemarle County Fair by competing to see who can grow the tallest and largest sunflowers. Prizes will be awarded in four age classes: 8 and under, 9 to 13, 14-18, and adult. The time to get started is NOW.

To ensure a level playing field, all entrants must plant the same seeds which are available free of charge (courtesy of Piedmont Master Gardeners) at the 1500 Gordon Avenue Library in Charlottesville during its hours of operation. The library can be reached at 434-296-5544 if you have questions.
