Package Depot The Package Depot recently opened a new location at 5391 Three Notch’d Road (adjacent to Music Today) for Crozetians searching for a convenient shipping center for UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS and other assorted packing supplies and services.

New Brewery Selvedge Brewing opened up next to the Bel Air Market in the old Virginia Tractor building.  The spacious location also offers an impressive in-house bar menu.

Geocache in Crozet Who doesn’t like treasure hunts?  Geocaching is a great way to get outdoors using your smartphone to search for tiny “treasures” hidden by other people.  It’s a great activity for couples and kids, and best of all, it’s free!

Western Way

WAHS News and Notes

Indoor Track & Field

Both girls' and boys' teams captured Class 3 state titles!

  • For the girls, it was their 6th title in 8 years; for the boys, their 3rd in the last 7.

  • Both teams had to place in the top 3 in the meet's final race (4X400 relay) to win it all, and they delivered.

  • Anders Felts, on his way to an individual state championship 500-meter run, broke the 3A state record with a time of 63.72 seconds.

  • Both teams' vaulters brought in valuable points. The boys placed 4 vaulters in the top 10, and the girls put 3 in the top 8.

  • Carter Torrence pulled in a whopping 18.5 points with two 2nd place finishes (500 and 300 meters) and anchored the state champion 4X800 relay team alongside Hailey Hodson, Grace Cook, and Emerson Ritter.

Crozet United’s Warrior of the Week is junior Anders Felts, who, over 3 races, brought in the most individual team points and broke a state (and school) record in the 500.
